Union Rail Budget 2011 And Tourism

At last after so much of speculations and debate railway minister Mamta Banerjee announced the annual rail budget of 2011. In his speech Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said 'this budget is for common man and they will get its full benefit.'
In this year budget there is no fare hike for the passengers, and the senior citizens are given a concession of 40%. More local trains will be introduced in Mumbai and Chennai. Along with it special schemes are introduced for the physically challenged persons.
Apart for the common man this rail budget also fulfilled the expectations of the travelers coming to India. To promote rail tourism in the country Mamta Banerjee has promised to launch new trains like Janam Bhoomi Gaurav for the convenience of the travelers. These special trains will run on the following routes.
With new ac coaches, new budget hotels are also proposed in the 2011 budget at the destinations like Bangarpet, Secunderabad, Amethi, Ramnagar, Ajmer, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kamakhya, Gaya, Rae Bareli, Deoghar, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Vellore, Kanyakumari, Srinagar, Sasaram, Bhagalpur, Panipat, Bhuj, Anand, Arsikere, Birur, Neemach, Ratlam etc. Even the north east India will get the benefits of this budget as all the states located in that part will be connected with rest of India via trains in the next 7 years.

- Gir-Diu (Somnath-Veraval)-(Junagarh)-Rajkot-Mumbai
