Cricket World Cup Update-India vs England
Sunday, February 27, 2011
After such a great start the Indian team and their fans had to settle for a tie against the English team on Sunday. Packed with thousands of cricket crazy fans the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore became the battle ground for the two most strong teams of this world cup. Since the beginning the Indian batsmen were dominating the field with their powerful shots. Sachin Tendulkar's 120 runs helped India getting to a prominent score of 338 runs.
Chasing the big score of 338 was looking quite difficult for the England team, but with the brilliant batting line up, Andrew Strauss's innings of 158 runs and India's weak bowling and fielding was making this match slipping away from India's hands.
With each passing over England was getting near to victory, but in the last over with 2 runs required India finally managed to tie this match.
Final scorecard:
India: 338-10(49.5)
England: 338-8 (50), Andrew Strauss was the Man of the Match
