Dispur – The Capital City
Dispur was named the capital of Assam after Meghalaya was carved out of the Assam. Shillong, which was till then the capital of Assam became the capital of Meghalaya. Dispur is situated at the outskirts of Guwahati and is known for its natural beauty and tea gardens. It is a lovely place for travellers to visit.




Guwahati
Guwahati is the largest city of Assam and a base to travel to other parts of north east India. Infact, the two wildlife sanctuaries – Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park are hugely famous for their one horned rhino and tigers respectively.Orang National Park , Sonai Rupai Wildlife Sanctuary, Pabha or Milroy Sanctuary, Dibru-Saikhowa National Park (, Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Namber Wildlife Sanctuary, Pani Dihing Wildlife Sanctuary and Barandi Game Reserve are the other wildlife attractions of the state.

Adventure in Assam
Enjoying adventure in Assam is very popular. The popular adventure sports that can be enjoyed here include rafting,angling, river cruise, boat racing,mountaineering and trekking, mountain biking and cycling, para sailing, hang gliding and  bird watching.     

Assam Tea
Tea Gardens in Assam produce one of the best quality tea in the world. It is also the largest tea producing area in the world with more than 1,500,000 pounds of tea yearly yield. Assam Tea has a flavour that is rich, strong and full-bodied with a distinctive malty taste.
