Baisakhi is the time of great celebrations and meeting old friends. It is celebrated with full flair all over especially in the state of Punjab. It is a harvest festival that is being celebrated since ancient times in this colorful land. It holds a place of great importance for the Sikh devotees. On this day not only Sikh devotees but also the followers of other religions pray at the gurudwaras. Special processions are also taken out on this day.
Baisakhi also symbolizes the beginning of a new solar year. People on this day take holy baths in the sacred river Ganga and offer flowers in the temples. So this time indulge yourself in the festive celebrations and meet your old friends. Wishing all a very very Happy Baisakhi.
