ICC Cricket World Cup 2011-Ind vs Ire

Sunday, March 6, 2011

The Indian innings was opened with a fantastic boundary by Virender Sehwag. Although he got out in the same over yet to win this match India has to put in extra efforts. Yesterday's match between India and Ireland played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore saw some really interesting twist and turns. The Irish team gave a not so big target of 208 runs to the Indian team.

In response the Indian team started very well but soon the wickets started falling. At one point it was looking quite difficult to win this match. But with the brilliant innings of Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Patahn India finally won the match with 5 wickets.

Final Scorecard:

Ireland: 207-10 (47.5)

India: 210-5 (46), Yuvraj Singh was elected Man of the Match for his brilliant 5 wickets haul and his not out innings of 50 runs.
