India-Bangladesh Match Summary

After such a long wait,the moment for which every cricket lover was waiting for, finally arrived on last Saturday. On 19th February the cricket world cup 2011 began with a winning note for the Indian fans as team India beat Bangladesh by 87 runs in a very exciting match.
All the eyes were on team India as they, came out to play against Bangladesh in Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. Since beginning Indian team was playing with a dominating attitude and by the end they proved that India has all the potential of winning this world cup.
Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli played a very important role in India's victory. Sehwag with his unbeatable 175 runs and Kohli with his not out innings of 100 runs confirmed India's win. Also Virat Kohli became the first Indian player to make a World Cup hundred on debut and Sehwag was declared Man of the Match.
Although Bangladesh also put up strong competition against a strong team like India but in the end all their efforts were in vain. According to cricket experts Indian team have to really work out on their bowling strategies that failed during their first match.

Bangladesh: 283/9 (50 overs), Extras 23
