ICC Cricket World Cup 2011-SA vs Ire
Wednesday, March 16, 2011
At last the sheer hard work of the South African team played well. After many hits and misses, South Africa finally entered the quarter finals after beating Ireland with a huge margin of 131 runs. Yesterday's match played at the Eden Gardens Grounds, Kolkata saw some really fantastic bowling efforts by Robin Peterson and Morne Morkel.
On the other side Kevin O'Brien again disappointed the Irish fans. Some people are also saying that he was only a one match wonder. So it will be very interesting to see South Africa taking up the tough fight against the other teams in the world cup.
Final Scorecard:
South Africa: 272-7 (50), JP Duminy was elected Man of the Match for his brilliant innings of 99 runs.
Ireland: 141-10 (33.2)
