One more quarter finals and one more team confirmed their spot in the semis. New Zealand became the 3^rd team that entered the semi finals after a very exciting match with South Africa. Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur Bangladesh became the witness of this very interesting match. Fantastic bowling by Jacob Oram was the key factor of the victory of the Kiwi team.

South Africa as usual again choked leading to its defeat by 49 runs. Although the target was not so big, in fact it was looking quite easy at one point of time. But hard luck for the South African team.
